Received the MS degree in Psychology from the University of Salamanca, Spain (1991). In 2002 obtained the PhD degree from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. I was human factors researcher on simulator training in the EUCLID project MASTER (1994-1998). My present position is Senior Researcher at AGORA Human Technology Center, University of Jyväskylä where I lead the contribution of this University to the European FP7 ICT-214986 project CONFIDENCE. Member of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP). Current research interests include evidence-based improvement of human-technology interactions, and the development of technology for the health, well-being, independence, and autonomy of the person. User-driven processes are central to these interests, which are applied to research questions concerning older people and their social environment.
