Description (short summary):
The National Interoperability Framework Observatory (NIFO) is an observatory of national Interoperability frameworks (NIFs). It is based on an Analytical Model allowing a comparison of different aspects of these frameworks.

The purpose of the Interoperability Factsheets is to provide a snapshot of interoperability for each of the countries in scope. They cover, among other aspects:

• The main activities performed in the field of Interoperability;
• The political, legal, organisational, semantic and technical contexts in which Interoperability is built;
• The principles and standards followed;
• The objectives of Interoperability initiatives;
• The effectiveness of Interoperability actions;
• If a service support programme has been foreseen (staff training, tool support, integration platform or activities, security management, etc.).
