Abstract

Press release of SAAPHO project

Long Description

The SAAPHO (Secure Active Aging: Participation and Health for the Old) project aims to develop an ICT platform for the elderly to improve their autonomy and independence. In order to achieve this, the SAAPHO platform will provide health, participation and security services which indeed are the three-axis of "Active Ageing" policy promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO). These services will be offered to the users by means of intuitive interfaces adapted to the preferences, possibilities and limitations of each person. The users will interact with the SAAPHO platform through multimodal devices such as touch-screen based personal computers, tablet personal-computers and smart-phone.
